Rosicky pens new deal

Midfielder Tomas Rosicky has signed a new contract at the Emirates stadium after a great run of form which has seen him net two goals in his last three games.

The Czech captain, who signed from Borussia Dortmund in 2006, has played 156 times for Arsenal scoring 19 goals in that period.

Rosicky has been in brilliant form as Arsenal seemed to have revived their season despite being eliminated from the Champions League, and Rosicky was outstanding in both wins against AC Milan and Tottenham.

The length of the contract has to be revealed but comes as a boost to Arsenal ahead of the must win clash with Newcastle tonight.
