Thanks Laurent, for one of the loudest screams I have ever made

Before Sundays game at Eastlands, I felt a quiet confidence pulsing (quietly, may I add) through my veins.

However, I definitely would have taken a draw, and, I don’t know, we may even have had more if someone (gervinho) could show some composure in front of goal.

Some annoying punditry aside (‘no one had heard anything about Cazorla before he came to Arsenal’ – Niall Quinn), a great game from a fans point of view.

A dominated first half, with lots of the ball, but then go behind from a set play, sound familiar? Just when old problems looked like they were coming to haunt us, a great final 20 minutes and a fine finish from our goalscoring Frenchman, meant we faught back at the Champions, and I’ve got to say, that pile up after the goal really did make me smile, when was the last time an Arsenal team celebrated like that?! When I saw the teamsheet, I was slightly suprised to see Aaron Ramsey in at right wing (or so said Sky Sports), but he was actually (almost) as involved as the excellent Cazorla.

Can’t really think of anyone who had a bad game to be honest, which is always encouraging – how much better is Carl Jenkinson looking this season!

This Arsenal team has been tipped for an outside title shot this season (we’re not a ‘dark horse’ if you keep mentioning it though pundits!), and although it’s too early for that, we are certainly looking like an extremely safe bet for the top four. That’s a trophy, right?

Ps – if you didn’t see it, Freddie Ljungberg saying ‘Lauren would kick the sh*t out of him’ on MOTD2 last night really capped off a fine weekend.
