Summer of Change- but where to start? Who for Manager and Player ins and outs

I asked four supporters four questions on what they would do this summer, from transfers to managerial appointments.

First up is Jamie Brundle:

1) As we all know, someone new will grace the Emirates dugout from next season, who do you want as the next manager?Hopefully we get Allegri, but I feel like we will get Arteta.
2) Many had had enough of dire performances and poor results, are you happy about the change?Absolutely! I can’t wait for the next season.
3) It’s expected to be a season or two of transition, so what are our realistic expectations for the next couple of years?Getting back into the Champions League and build from there.

4) The squad arguably needs strengthening- so if given £100m, who are your ins and outs?Iwobi, Welbeck, Cazorla out – Fabinho, Chiellini (free) and Martial in.

Secondly is Graham Brooks:

1) As we all know, someone new will grace the Emirates dugout from next season, who do you want as the next manager? I want a tactician. Max Allegri would be my first choice.

2) Many had had enough of dire performances and poor results, are you happy about the change? I have wanted change for some time. I have enormous respect for Arsene Wenger; a man of principle, integrity and the upmost loyalty, but it has been clear for a while that, despite three FA Cups in 5 years, we have been regressing, so yes I am happy with the change. My wish would have been that he went out on a high after last year’s FA Cup triumph that made him the most successful FA Cup winning Manager ever, along with an Invincible League winning campaign,

3) It’s expected to be a season or two of transition, so what are our realistic expectations for the next couple of years? That will depend on the appointment and money available to him. I think the realistic goal would be at the very least to get us back into the Champions League, whoever is appointed.

4) The squad arguably needs strengthening- so if given £100m, who are your ins and outs? For me the defensive spine of the team needs addressing, goal-keeper; centre -half and a defensive midfielder. Oblak/Leno, Koulibaly/ Manolas, the DM so difficult; the club are being linked with Meyer, but I would like someone tall, physical with presence, like Nzonzi/ Carvalho/ who would sit and break up play like Gilberto used to do. I would also sell Ospina and Mustafi plus get Campbell/ Perez off the books.

Thirdly, our very own Dave Seager:
1) As we all know, someone new will grace the Emirates dugout from next season, who do you want as the next manager? It is a simple question with no simple answer because I actually don’t have strong feelings on it. I am just excited by the prospects of new ideas and a more modern approach to coaching. With the new structure the club has put in place the new man just needs to be a great coach and a motivator. I am happy with reports that it may be Allegri but I like the idea of Emery as a fall back.
2) Many had had enough of dire performances and poor results, are you happy about the change? Yes I am exceedingly content that the club have initiated the change and more than ready as I said previously for a fresh approach and new impetus.

3) It’s expected to be a season or two of transition, so what are our realistic expectations for the next couple of years? My expectation is that we play attractive, winning football with more pace and fluency. If we do that I am happy and the rewards will follow in due course.
4) The squad arguably needs strengthening- so if given £100m, who are your ins and outs? It is so hard to answer with individual names but for me it is the spine. We have the striker(s) and now we need a top class keeper, an imposing senior centre back to bring through our talented youngsters and probably a purpose built defensive midfielder to release Ramsey, should he extend.

Fall back?

Lastly, but not least, Lee Judges:
1) As we all know, someone new will grace the Emirates dugout from next season, who do you want as the next manager? For me, it has to be Max Allegri.
2) Many had had enough of dire performances and poor results, are you happy about the change? I am happy for change but it has to be the right choice & not a cheap option.

3) It’s expected to be a season or two of transition, so what are our realistic expectations for the next couple of years? A top 4 finish is the least I expect with  a couple of good cup runs.
4) The squad arguably needs strengthening- so if given £100m, who are your ins and outs? I would sell Xhaka & Mustafi, I would bring in Jean Michael Seri from Nice, Jamaal Lascelles from Newcastle, Kasper Schmeichel from Leicester, Malcom from Bordeaux & Ryan Bertrand from Southampton as well loaning out Rob Holding and Alex Iwobi.
