Arsenal: Premier League Review So Far
It’s been an indifferent start to the Premier League season for Arsenal. Unai Emery’s team has picked up 8 points from their opening five fixtures. The Gunners have shown grit and determination in some games. However, they have thrown away leads and rolled over in others.
We’re going to analyze the 5 games that have taken place so far. Whether you’re a dedicated fan or a punter looking for new betting sites for free bets, we’ve got it all covered. Here’s a quick summary of Arsenal’s season so far.
Newcastle 0-1 Arsenal
The first game of the season is always tricky. Some players are lacking in match fitness, and new players are trying to settle in. It doesn’t matter how you win on the first day. The most important thing is picking up maximum points.

Arsenal performed well at St James’ Park. They dominated the ball for long periods, and looked fluid going forward. Aubameyang grabbed the only goal of the match in the 58th minute, and Emery’s men took all 3 points back to London. As far as opening day games go, this was a job well done.
Arsenal 2-1 Burnley
The Clarets are always difficult to play against. Sean Dyche likes his team to sit deep and play on the counter-attack. However, Lacazette scored after 13 minutes, and Burnley’s plan went out the window. Arsenal had most of the ball and were creating plenty of chances until Barnes levelled the scores just before halftime.
The Gunners had to rely on Aubameyang once again. However, the forward never fails to deliver. Another 3 points against a tough opponent sent the fans into raptures.
Liverpool 3-1 Arsenal
Not many teams go to Anfield and win. However, Arsenal looked brilliant at various points throughout this game. The front three looked lively. What’s more, Pepe’s pace was causing plenty of problems. However, the Reds managed to get their noses in front thanks to a goal from centre-back Joel Matip.
Salah added two more in the second half. Torreira scored a late consolation goal, but it was too little too late. A defeat at Anfield is nothing to be ashamed of. It happens to most teams.
Arsenal 2-2 Tottenham
The North London Derby is the biggest game of Arsenal’s season. However, things didn’t go to plan. Emery’s men found themselves 2-0 down after 40 minutes. Lacazette grabbed one back before the break. The atmosphere around the Emirates was tense when the teams appeared for the second half.

After an end to end game, Aubameyang came to the rescue once again. The first half was terrible. However, Arsenal showed grit and determination in the second half. This point was well earned.
Watford 2-2 Arsenal
This result was extremely disappointing. The Gunners went 2-0 up at Vicarage Road thanks to a brace from their super centre-forward. However, this game was a tale of two halves. Arsenal were in disarray after the break. Players like Xhaka and Luiz were making mistakes all over the pitch. Watford walked away with a point.
