We at Gunners Town are delighted to announce a new strategic partnership with our very good friend Nils. Most of you will know him as Arsenal Editor across many social media platforms. Nils is a Swedish-based French Gooner who was a founding member of the Gunners Town family in 2013. At that time, he had recently started creating well-crafted Arsenal-themed player compilation videos and we offered him his own column to gain extra profile and a wider audience for his work.
As it has been for many, Gunners Town has been an excellent stepping-stone or springboard – and today, 7 years later, the Arsenal Editor brand created by Nils is well-established and respected across several platforms. On Instagram he has a massive 186,000 followers, on Twitter 16,000 followers and on YouTube (where it all began), 81,000 subscribers. Of course, the main focus is Football and primarily Arsenal FC.
I was proud to give Nils one of his first breaks by commissioning him to create a promotional video for my first book, “Geordie Armstrong on the Wing – Memories of an Arsenal Legend” in 2014. He has subsequently worked with Arseblog, and the Art of Football (https://art-of-football.com), continually gaining plaudits and new followers for his creative flair. Nils and I have constantly stayed in touch and as a young man he has often sought advice from this old head – and where possible I have been constructive and supportive.
I am delighted to say that his most recent, exciting venture, is now ready to launch at ArsenalEditor.com. After much planning and consumer research, Nils is launching a modern Arsenal Print and Poster shop, selling unique and original artwork, designed for modern Arsenal supporters looking for something fresh and new. Art that will sit proudly on the wall in your home or office, always simple, with sharp lines and design, but frequently with a deeper meaning.
We at GT are delighted to partner with Nils and Arsenal Editor and as the man himself says “I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit and combining my favourite hobby with a well-made website was an easy choice.” We wish his new venture every success and are delighted to confirm that any purchased made by Gunners Town readers will attract a 10% discount. If you click from this link, or from any promotional advert on our site, your order will automatically receive our partner discount. Should you visit the site independently or recommend it to others, you can still apply this code – GUNNERSTOWN – at checkout for the same 10% discount.
Nils asked Paul and I if we would like a poster designed exclusively for us at launch – an offer to good to decline. After some deliberation we asked for a David ‘Rocky’ Rocastle design, with the 20thanniversary of his tragic passing approaching in March next year. We also felt a version of the Rocky salute would have powerful echoes of the BLM salute, so synonymous with (and relevant to) 2020.
We hope you are as thrilled as use are with the Arsenal Editor “Rocky” design which you can order only via this link (embed) and join us in wishing Nils and his new Arsenal Editor venture every success. No doubt you will be as delighted with your purchase as Nils’ first customers were below:
Passionate 50+ ST holder who has been making the journey to N5 regularly since the early 1980s – although his first game was in 1976. Always passionate when talking about The Arsenal, Dave decided to send a guest blog to Gunnersphere in the summer of 2011 and has not stopped writing about the Gunners since. He set up up his own site 1 Nil Down 2 One Up which he has now sold and since the summer of 2013 with a friend he launched a new project to offer new and aspiring Arsenal writers a home. Gunners Town is that platform and Dave writes here too. He is also the author of 2 Arsenal related books.
