Are Arsenal truly A Banter Club or are other more ‘Banterous’ than us?
Yes, we’ve had some comical instances which other clubs haven’t had in recent years. City didn’t lose 10-2 on aggregate to Bayern. Spurs haven’t had “Poch In/Poch Out” fights in their stands. Liverpool did win more than just one away win from Jan to May 2018. And Chelsea hasn’t been stereotyped by AFTV’s […]
Can you name all of Arsenal’s Spanish Stars since Reyes became an Invincible?
Given the nationality of our head coach, Mr.Emery, I wanted to pick out some of the most noted Spanish players in our club’s history. Denis Suarez, whilst only a loan signing, also adds to the Spanish vibe we have currently. So who else from Spain has either helped us or even hindered us, over the […]
Arsenal 2-0 Southampton: Gunners’ first half frolic sees them break into Top 4 [Positive Needs & Hopes]
Did I see Intent, Rhythm and Fun? POSITIVES, NEEDS and HOPES As the season was about to start I remember wondering what I was going to see. I remember thinking that we would quickly try to impress our new coach with a fluid, typical Arsenal rhythm combined with the obvious initial need of a more […]
The Saints Decanonized as Arsenal go Fourth – Impressions and Player Ratings as Xhaka runs the Show
Arsenal 2-0 Southampton – Premier League Review Saints decanonised and beaten at the Emirates….. This was a return to a fluent Arsenal, in large part. After the comfortable win and clean sheet in the Europa League, Southampton offered some fight, but not enough to seriously trouble us. The starting line-up featured […]
Impressions and Player Ratings from Arsenal 3-0 BATE Borisov
Arsenal 3-0 BATE Borisov – Europa League Round of 16 Second Leg Review (Agg. 3-1) After last week’s debacle, we comfortably progressed to the next round after a good win vs. BATE at home. I’m left thinking “how the hell did we lose to them last week?!” I attended in person, with some […]
Arsenal 3-0 BATE Borisov (3-1) – Relief as centre-backs spare Gunner’s Europa blushes [Positive Needs & Hopes]
A Tale of Execution and Deception POSITIVES, NEEDS and HOPES I feel happy but still concerned. Ultimately happy. Did we need to produce a fluid performance?… not really. Did we need the 3-0 victory?…. absolutely. As forgettable as these two games have been they were pivotal to Emery and Arsenal. The longer we don’t make […]
A little ditty ’bout Mezut Ozil
A little ditty ’bout Mezut Ozil A little ditty ’bout young Mezut Ozil Who played up front Germany when they destroyed Brazil He came to Arsenal to be a football star He left Madrid where he’d come so far At his best, he is a master magician Whose sublime vision lays waste to […]
A Ballad of Mesut and Unai – Sort it out between now and May
While the season for Arsenal goes down in flames Mesut still loves our club or so he claims I do not know if he does nor do I particularly care But I do know the team I love is missing his flair I would rather he did is talking with his feet and […]
Hard to watch Arsenal without a Plan v Bate after watching Spurs crush Dortmund
I watched most of Spurs match against Borussia Dortmund and it was hard to take the disparity between their performance and that disaster last night. The stadium is bouncing and the fans are belting out their songs when their team is playing. In contrast, we had a decent amount of proper fans who made the […]
After Emery goes defensive and loses to Bate – Do we Trust this man ‘with no style in our Transition.
Arsenal suffered one of the worst results in their European history by losing 1-0 in Borisov to Belarusian side BATE. Lacazette was sent off for violent conduct in a game that summed up the Arsenal performance. The Wrong Man? There’s no hiding that Unai Emery inherited a very weak and poor Arsenal side in comparison […]
