Maybe it’s the warmer weather, increased sun exposure, the fact they will no longer have to train with the likes of Sanogo much longer, or whatever it may be, Arsenal always seems to to end a season strong. Arsene Wenger receives a lot of criticism for his lack of adaptability and in-game management, but let’s […]
A guest post from an Irish Gooner, who has supported The Arsenal through thick and thin since 1972. We all have different stories. Sometimes it is important to hear what unites us, rather than what divides us. Enjoy. I just saw you are inviting Arsenal fans to submit a blog to your site. I am […]
So, West Ham didn’t do us any favours on Sunday and were comprehensively thrashed by Liverpool. Lazy bastards. Probably still hold a grudge for the two beatings we dished out to them. In all honesty though, this situation is ours fault, and ours alone. Just think about it: of the 36 games we’ve dropped points […]
The high of Arsenal’s brilliant performance at Stoke City on Saturday soon made way, at least in some quarters, on Sunday, when Liverpool eased to victory over a poor West Ham United side. Three points for the Reds effectively ended the Gunners hopes of playing Champions League football yet again next season, with only an extremely […]
Europa League it is, then. I know we are still in the race for a place in the top four but it’s extremely unlikely that either Liverpool or Manchester City will drop points in the final games, so the sooner we accept this demotion the better we will deal with it. I am not exactly […]
I cannot let this day pass without writing about Shite Hart Lane, before the glorious sight of the bulldozers moving in to demolish it after Spurs final game there this afternoon. Fair to say it has provided me with so many fantastic moments over the years from my very first away game in 1968, when […]
I think the only appropriate place to start this report is to apologise for something I said after we lost to Tottenham: “And barring four wins in five remaining games, our total this season won’t be better than in 2016. Want a bet we won’t amass 12+ points before the end of May?” I hold […]
I am a lover not a fighter, but if one more pundit slags off Arsenal… Ok so hey,I think it’s time I actually introduced myself, I’m James, a Leeds lad brought up around the blood and thunder football of Leeds United, I was taught many things growing up in Yorkshire, mostly to despise Manchester […]
To the Mordor we go today, and it’s fair to say I’d prefer most other places to Stoke at a crucial time like this. But beggars can’t be choosers. A win will put us within a point of Liverpool, who visit the Hammers on Sunday, heaping pressure in Klopp’s men to perform. I do not […]
At a time when not all new that comes out of Arsenal is positive we are happy to promote the excellent work done by the Arsenal Foundation in conjunction with their partner Save the Children. This year the money raised at the Arsenal Foundation Ball was used to open a new project in Jakatra. And […]
