Mohamed El-Gabbas is ready to jump at the chance to join The Gunner’s. The Egyptian striker was on Newcastle United’s books as a 17 year old in 2005, but was released back to his homeland due to work permit problems. The forward has since been plying his trade in Belgium with Lierse and earning rave reviews for his performances.
He told Belgium newspaper HLN: “At 17 I was involved with Newcastle and learnt much about professional football.
“I had to return to Egypt because I couldn’t obtain a work license but my goal is to play in the Premier League again – my dream is to go to Arsenal.”
