In the news today:
The Daily Star has revealed that Arsenal assistant manager, Pat Rice, is set to stay on for a further year. Speculation has been rife that Rice was set for his pension after suffering with a chronic knee problem in recent years. Thankfully though, Wenger has managed to convince Rice that he has another year left in him before heading into retirement.
Wenger said: “Pat Rice will continue for one more year, he has told me.
“It is important for me because he knows how I work. We have a good understanding and he complements my style. I’m happy that he will go on for one more year.
“The day he stops will be a massive loss for the club.”
Rich has been with the club, with the exception of a four year playing spell for Watford, since 1962.
