Big time for Charlie?

In the news today:

Metro have a feature suggesting that Wigan Athletic wide player, Charles N’Zogbia is coy over a prospective move to Arsenal this summer. The Frenchman has repeatedly been linked with a move away from Lancashire over the last 12 months, and nearly rejoined his former club Newcastle in January.

It’s suggested that the Toon are back in for their man again, but Wenger is a known admirer of the pacey 25 year old. N’Zogbia remains coy however and is quoted saying: ‘For now, I don’t care, especially since I’m good at Wigan.

‘The decision to sell me, and at what price, lies with my manager and the chairman.

‘Even if I do have the desire to play at a bigger club I can’t say whether I’ll leave or stay.

‘The only certainty is that I will be in England next season. I have this league in my blood.’

N’Zogbia, who has one cap for France, is thought to be interested in a big move in a bid to boost his international chances and the Emirates would certainly suit his style of play. With a reported figure of £8-10m, it wouldn’t be out of Wenger’s grasp in terms of policy either.
