As well as once again clarifying comments attributed to him in the Dutch media, Robin Van Persie has been filming a piece for an ITV show called ‘Black or Red’ with Barcelona target, Cesc Fabregas.
Although the contents of the show were not confirmed, pictures from the pair suggest the Arsenal captain and his deputy may be involved in a televised pyjama party.
Let’s hope that such an act of camaraderie means Cesc will still be in London to see the programme aired in September.
Samir Nasri – #NOTREASSURED
Another player rumoured to be leaving the Emirates is Samir Nasri, who this week moved to reassure fans: “I just want to tell you don’t listen to the newspaper and the rumours I will let you know if something happens”.
Perhaps it would be easier to ignore rumours if they weren’t being fuelled by inflammatory comments by Nasri himself, such as those regarding reported interest from bitter rivals Manchester United.
An even greater reassurance would be if he were to go ahead and sign the £90,000 a week contract reportedly being offered.
Bacary Sagna – #FOLLOWMYFRIEND
Long term Arsenal suitor, Charles N’Zogbia is proving as frequent as a Barcelona counterattack on Twitter, appearing to reignite his annual mission to join the Gunners with an appeal through Bacary Sagna.
Sagna tweeting is quite a rare sight in itself, so when he encouraged all of his own followers to connect with N’Zogbia on June 9th, one can’t help but suspect an outside influence is at work.
As flattering as N’Zogbia’s constant attempts to earn himself a dream move to the Emirates are, I doubt many fans find the prospect of him in an Arsenal shirt as exciting as he does himself.
Then again, with the number of current squad members supposedly heading for the exit door, maybe Sagna realises such desperate signings could be needed to fulfil the minimum Premiership squad limit.
I hope you are right..ryp is obviously trying to make Cesc stay!
why n'zogbia? HAZARD
c'mon arsene, its time to pay up
