Reports on The Monday Supplement suggest that Claus Freittell, Borussia Dortmund’s head of stadium security, has raised debate over the touchline ban that has caused so much controversy already for Arsenal, and in particular, Arsene Wenger.
Freittell is suggesting that the Frenchman may well have invoked the ban again by communicating with his player via some premeditated blinking system.
As crazy as it sounds, the German side have studied video footage of Wenger, and believe that they can see clear attempts from the manager to pass messages to the team.
The website claims that he said: “I was stood at pitch side and I never took my eyes off him. He would blink once at a player in order for them to hold onto the ball and twice if he wanted them to pass.”
“When Van Persie went through on goal I thought he was having an epileptic fit but then I realised he was telling him to shoot.”
Club chairman, Dietmar Rosler also weighed in with his opinions saying: “This is a clear violation of UEFA rules and we should be handed all three points.”
“We could see he was orchestrating every move on the pitch but were powerless to stop him, UEFA must do something about this.”
Weather this accusation is true or not, it’s rather amusing…
