Dortmund accuse Wenger in blinking scandal

WTTGT Writer: Simon Bourne (Site Editor) – Follow Me

Reports on The Monday Supplement suggest that Claus Freittell, Borussia Dortmund’s head of stadium security, has raised debate over the touchline ban that has caused so much controversy already for Arsenal, and in particular, Arsene Wenger.

Freittell is suggesting that the Frenchman may well have invoked the ban again by communicating with his player via some premeditated blinking system.

As crazy as it sounds, the German side have studied video footage of Wenger, and believe that they can see clear attempts from the manager to pass messages to the team.

The website claims that he said: “I was stood at pitch side and I never took my eyes off him. He would blink once at a player in order for them to hold onto the ball and twice if he wanted them to pass.”

“When Van Persie went through on goal I thought he was having an epileptic fit but then I realised he was telling him to shoot.”

Club chairman, Dietmar Rosler also weighed in with his opinions saying: “This is a clear violation of UEFA rules and we should be handed all three points.”

“We could see he was orchestrating every move on the pitch but were powerless to stop him, UEFA must do something about this.”

Weather this accusation is true or not, it’s rather amusing…

Are you serious???? what an absolute idiot, how could he even say those things, can you believe how stupid that sounds!! as if each Arsenal player was watching Arsene Wenger blink in order to see whether they should pass or shoot!! They should be fined for talking crap

Both of you who have taken this seriously must be utterly stupid. This article is a joke and and the author is sarcastic towards the recent decisions by the UEFA on the Boss. One thing i can't understand why you have to take Dortmund into this. They are a well-run and correct club and should not be part of this article.
The creator of this hoax shold have written: “[…] Francois Cretin, who is Platini's man to ensure Wenger doesn't violate the ban noticed that […]”. We've got a problem with the UEFA and Platini, not with Dortmund and their stuff.

    Nonetheless, good article.

This has to be one of the most stupid things ever said, Wenger was way up in the stands, the players who had the ball
supposedly looked up to see if they were getting 1 or 2 winks, Van Persie we are led to believe was in on Goal and he is supposed to notice that Wenger wants him too shoot, absolutely Pathetic, it is September and not April Fools Day does this Man have any brains at all, why do you post such utter Garbage, you are as bad as the idiot Stadium Security Person

It's amazing that, despite someone correctly stating that this article is satirical, the immediate post afterwards is taking it seriously. Why do people feel the need to jump on obvious flaws, exposing themselves as idiots? It makes me sad.

Woof is spot on, good idea but no need to implicate Dortmund.

ha ha ha, nice joke!! It is worrying though though that a few good people seem to believe UEFA could stoop so low to investigate wengers blinking just to fix him and Arsenal, and all because we are well run, not debt ridden….football really is rotten now more than ever!!

i have just one question for those lovely guys at dortmond? how the hell was rvp supposed to get the ball and dribble.and shoot whilst watching way up in the nose bleeds to take instruction from wingers???? the only answer is that afc must have surgically inserted bionic binocular eyes into the rear of rvps head!

  16. Darren September 16, 2011 at 4:13 pm #

People are taking this seriously???!!!! WTF Are you just morons or were you hit on the head with a stupid stick every day of your life? There is NO conspiracy against Arsenal or Wenger. but I guess that's easier to believe than admitting that your idol has lost his way.
