One of Arsenal’s hottest young talents continues to prove his worth to Crewe Alexandra after agreeing to a month-long extension to his loan deal, with Gooners no doubt happy to read on reputable news sources like the bet365 site that Chuks Aneke is developing well in League One.
Aneke, at 19, is currently enjoying his third loan spell away from the Emirates as he gains first-team experience before an eagerly anticipated step up to Arsene Wenger’s squad. And, after clearly showing the professional application needed to make it in football, Aneke has been rewarded with an extension.
“I’m enjoying this position (in attacking midfield). It gives me a chance to play passes that can lead directly to goals and to get on the scoresheet myself,” he told ThisIsStaffordshire.co.uk.
“I enjoy being a playmaker. League One takes a bit of getting used to, but experience helps. I’ve come to Crewe to get minutes under my belt and I feel like I’m learning a lot.”
Indeed, Aneke should be enjoying his football after making 12 appearances for Crewe this season. With injuries to other central midfielders, Aneke has flourished in an attacking midfield role that should excite future Arsenal fans when he returns to the Emirates (check out the latest Arsenal bets in the Premier League latest promotions with bet365 ).
With three goals so far this season and on the winning side of six of his last eight games, Aneke is not only proving an adaptability to first-team football but also his professionalism within the ranks.
He follows in the footsteps of Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey as players who have benefitted from the loan system and should Aneke keep his head down and continue his good run of form, there is nothing to suggest he cannot make Wenger’s 25-man squad for the 2013/14 campaign.
