Arsenal midfielder set for homecoming?

Tomas Rosicky’s stay at Arsenal has never quite lived up to what was expected of it and The Metro are reporting that the player could soon be given the chance to return to the location where he built such an impressive reputation, a reputation that has slowly fallen apart during his uninspiring spell at Arsenal.

Prior to his move to North London Rosicky was thought as of one of the worlds best midfield players following several impressive years for Borussia Dortmund and it seems the Germans are like elephants in that they have not forgotten his exploits and he is still considered one of their most legendary players of recent times.

It would seem that the Czech’s exit looks inevitable for at 32 he has a craving for regular football and that is something that Arsene Wenger is unlikely to provide, meaning that there is likely to be no happy ending in what has been a relationship of persistent disappointments. There have been several false dawns such as the dozens or so games Rosicky played towards the end of last year but much like his six year Arsenal career that turned out to be the case of two steps forward and two more back.

Given the depth and talent of Dortmund’s youthful squad it is questionable whether the Czech would find the regular games he would desire, however a chance to return to a club where he would be adored might be to much to resist and who knows that love and affection might just inspire him to remind us over why he was once considered a real coup for Arsenal.
