Fiorentina star encourages Premier League suitors

Well isn’t this nice.

Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic has told The Daily Star just how nice it is when big clubs are said to be interested in him. He even thinks the English League is probably the strongest in the world! What a nice guy.

The Montenegrin star has been linked with several Premier League sides after scoring 12 league goals in 23 games in Serie A this season and could be set for a move to English shores in the summer. Wouldn’t that be nice.

It sure is nice when you are interesting big clubs like Arsenal and Manchester City,’ he told The Daily Star on Sunday.

‘I’m very comfortable in Italy but the Premier League is at the top of the football world – and perhaps the best.

‘Who knows? Maybe one day I will be playing at one of the English clubs.’

Unfortunately for Arsenal the latest reports suggest that Jovetic could cost between £20-25m, effectively pricing the Gunners out of a move.

Juventus and both of the Milan sides are also interested and Jovetic’s high demand should push his price beyond the reach of Arsene Wenger’s side. Premier League fans will be hoping the rather less thrifty Manchester City will instead stump up the cash for the talented 23-year-old. That would be nice.
