Gunners Town Screensavers
This week for the last few days of the quiet of the International break when Arsenal blogging inspiration is at a premium we will be sharing some Gunners Town Images/screensavers.
All will be created by @invinciblog and all will portray your Arsenal favourites with a one word appropriate adjective.
Second up is one of Arsenal’s two playing revelations in 2014/15 who is carrying on where he left
The word is POTENTIAL because we truly believe the sky is the limit for the ‘Boy from Barca’
Such good news that Bellerin is tied done on a new long-term deal that takes him to June 2019.
Fabulous also that for the time being he is still being overlooked for a full Spanish call up. We look forward to seeing him recovered and refreshed on Saturday at the Hawthorns
I was eleven-and-a-half. My family had just emigrated from Rhodesia to South Africa. All the kids on my street supported United or Liverpool, because of their Southern African goalkeeper connections: Bailey for United and Grobbelaar for ‘Pool. Problem was: I didn’t like the colour red – so when FA Cup Final day came around in 1979, I supported the team in yellow, even though their name sounded like “Asshole”. At the final whistle, I had bragging rights and a team that had won my heart.
Then I discovered that the Gunners also wore red. Luckily, I remained loyal, and the Arsenal has kicked my heart around ever since… (apart from a few lost years in the ’90s and early ’00s, when I was busy doing grownup things as a composer in Hollywood).
