The Confidence and Preparation for Spurs and City starts by beating Swansea

Arsenal vs. Swansea City

Premier League preview

Ozil resurged, and Eddie Nketiah became our new hero this week.

Though we are at home to Swansea, and it seems vis a vis the Norwich game, we will see the big guns return.

However, how will we fare here?

I predict this team will start:

Amidst this, our “good friends” in our vicinity are at Old Trafford, and it’s a near six-pointer at the top. Moreover, Liverpool and Chelsea have tricky games. We need to win this to ensure we face City/Pep and our “good friends/Kane” in the top four places at the least.

I think we can win here, but a good performance to boot would be welcome.

Will we see Alexis/Ozil/Lacazette? I hope so. This is a game for all of them to shine in.

Will Xhaka start? I believe he will. He offers something unique, vis a vis Ramsey, Coquelin, or Elneny. Or Wilshere.

Will Per start? I get the feeling he may, though he understands his role this season will be more as a bit-part player. I’d like to see Chambers/Holding get more game time though, as they are clearly the future of our defence.

As always though, I suspect that our issues will be mental and tactical. If those are on point, I think we will win comfortably. To use a now cliché, it depends on which Arsenal turn up. If it’s the Everton Arsenal, or even the Red Star Arsenal, we may win. If it’s the Liverpool Arsenal, then no, it will be far more difficult.

Arsenal 2-1 Swansea City

People may laugh at this, but top four is attainable this season. Chelsea and Liverpool are erratic, and Spurs look strong admittedly. We need the points here, to put us not only in good stead for the City/Tottenham games, but to show all that we can regain Champions League football.
