Arsenal have continued to search for their first premier league title since the Invincibles. The search which is now in its 14th season has not been expected by the fans to take this long to win the league again.
The current situation in the league whereby the amount of money spent in the transfer market determines what you will win. Arsenal have consistently qualified for champions league, bar this season but it still looks like one of the current Manchester clubs is going to win the league this season.
What way will a team set up without spending big and expect to win the league in England? Arsene Wenger has insisted that he will make sure he wins the league before he leaves the Emirates. He however did not state if he will be spending big in coming seasons.

But it has been obvious that the French manager is willing to spend after he made a £90m bid on last day for Thomas Lemar.
Some bookmakers like William Hill are offering a free bet on Arsenal winning the league but it’s unlikely for that to happen this season. Wenger has the tactical nous to win the league again but he has to dig into the transfer market.
To do that, the first thing he has to do is try to tie the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil to long term contracts and give them the pay rise they ask for. You cannot be looking to sign new players while letting the best two players in your team leave.
The squad depth in the current team is quite okay if all players can return from injury. Despite the 9 points gap between table toppers Manchester City and Arsenal, the season is still too young to stick out that the Gunners can’t win the league with their best soccer ball this season.
Will he stay?
A free bet has to be put on at least two Arsenal players to hit twenty goals each in all competition if we are to win the league. Alexander Lacazette and Alexis Sanchez – if he stays – have the quality to make this happen.
Moneybags have the edge in the league but Wenger also has an edge as he has done it before with a relatively less expensive squad. I will put my money on Wenger to win the league before his current contract expires.
