7 thoughts on Arsenal Can’t stop thinking. Here’s 7 more… 1) I recently wrote an article where you could create Arsenal 20/21 from a list of 10 options in every position. It was amazing to me that we could sell 9 players that mostly sit on the bench and totally revamp and upgrade. I sold […]
I’ve been thinking too much. I’d say we all have. Here are ‘6 thoughts on Arsenal.’ 1. So transfer fees are going to fall. I’m not worried for Arsenal as Xhaka’s price may fall to £20M but then so does his replacement’s. What is going to be fascinating is the fire sales. Firstly, I think of the […]
Build your Arsenal 20/21 squad! What if you were the decision maker this summer? Sell Bellerin or trust him to find his game? Patience with Guendouzi or cash in to find a different profile? Lacazette was player of the year 18/19. Sell one year later? Spend most of your money on Jadon Sancho or find […]
Arsenal and the trip to Magaluf (End of Part one of 19/20) I was trying to think of what Part 1 of Arsenal’s season reminded me of…. Back in 1995 my mates and I booked a trip to Magaluf. We were 21. No parents. We were all moderately good looking. Let’s go! The trip started […]
Next Season’s Arsenal Better for Nothing How do you improve Arsenal’s team for the 20/21 season? Can you do it and end up with a zero balance? This wasn’t my goal, but this is what has happened. Read on….. I’m a bit of a dreamer. I love to wonder. Being a football fan my wonderings […]
Nothing looks easy Arsenal won yesterday but oh my, that was hard work. Part way through yesterday’s game I started to complain about how West Ham look every bit as good as we are. I then started to complain that we used to dominate games at home against almost everybody and that we are struggling […]
Money could save us, Money could kill us Positives, Needs and Hopes It’s March. It’s 2021. One year from now. Could this happen?….. Who would’ve thought that Arsenal would be where they are today? After a fairly miserable 19/20 season where Arsenal tumbled prematurely out of Europe and failed to make it back in, the […]
Heads Up…..on Portsmouth Here is a Heads Up on Arsenal’s opponents. 1) Form… The team have only lost once since January 1st in all competitions and won’t roll over for Arsenal. 2) Formation and Potential line up… Always 4-2-3-1 3) Absent players…. No suspensions. Bryn Morris out injured. Star player Ronan Curtis with a knock, but will play […]
This feels different Positives, Needs and Hopes I respect the world of football stats but don’t search them out. There is something in me that resists stats and considers them somewhat unnecessary even though many are interesting and revealing. I far prefer basing my judgments on feeling. Maybe it’s because I’ve poured much […]
Systems vs Swagger Positives, Needs and Hopes One of the most frustrating parts of coaching is when you spend endless hours working on what seems like such a good idea only for it to hurt the team. I can’t prove this but the first half against Newcastle looked like a plan shut down. In my […]
