Ozil & Alexis: Traitors or Simply Mercenaries Moving On? Why I won’t shed a tear when they leave. Arsenal deserves better.
Should we be surprised (or upset) if Ozil and Sanchez don’t renew their contracts? I don’t think so. And here’s why… Traditionally, players signed for Arsenal because it was a step up for them. Or because they held a lifelong dream to play for the Gunners. Neither is the case for our two want-away stars. […]
Swings and Roundabouts, Tony. If you can’t stand the sand, get out of the pit!
I have been reading a lot of reviews and criticisms of last night`s match and also the review by Sky Sports. The spot that amuses me is where Dermot Gallagher ( the ex referee ) provides his opinion. Does anyone share my view that Dermot looks as if he is only missing a dog collar […]
Start of a love affair: is Lacazette Arsenal’s Mr. Right?
Hello Gooners. How does it feel to see Tony Pulis fuming over yet another loss at the Emirates Stadium? More than Mr. Baseball Cap’s moaning and more than the win against West Brom itself, what really gave me a wonderful feeling was watching Alexandre Lacazette: the Frenchman has been outstanding and the quality of his […]
Top Guns: the pick of this week’s Arsenal players
“PICK OF THE BUNCH.” From match-day to match-day there are certain individuals in the Arsenal team whose performance leaves them standing head and shoulders above the rest. The ones whose blood, sweat and tears are shed to ensure the team wins or at least makes a good attempt doing that. This weekly feature is going […]
Arsenal 2-0 West Brom: Gunners ride their luck to hold off plucky West Brom (Review)
Arsenal 2-0 WBA Emirates Stadium 25th September 2017 – Premier League A reasonable performance tonight from Arsenal. WBA had some good chances in the first-half, and looked pretty dangerous in parts. However, they crumbled as Arsenal’s quality was too much for them. Pulis had supposedly never won at Arsenal before, and he needs to wait […]
Wenger Claims a ‘Cellino’ Style Contract Crisis is the ‘New Normal’ – AFC Lost or soon to be Restored?
Arsenal lost or Arsenal restored? Was it the beginning of the end when Arsene Wenger’s pen met A4 piece of paper with the heading of his own contract or merely the crack of light through the cave, Arsenal having been looking for, for so long? Do Arsenal find themselves looking down from atop an inescapable […]
Alexis is a Striker and Ozil is a Trequartista – Sorry Arsene you can’t play both
The year is 2017, Alexis is a Striker and Ozil is a Trequartista One would be forgiven for thinking the title is the end of the story but it’s really not, in this article you’ll find out why. First things first what is a Trequartista when it’s up and out of bed and not fit […]
Back to 4231 and Giroud to hit his Ton as the The Baggies visit The Emirates
Howdy. We face West Brom today, in what will round off gameweek 6. This fixture marks the beginning of an easier 5-match run for the Gunners: after the Baggies we face Brighton, Watford, Everton and Swansea. There’s potential to rack up some points here and get back on track. But first we need to overcome […]
Arsenal need an Eriksen not an Ozil Ten – ‘Shoot Mesut Shoot!’
So today we wake up with the realisation that every other top side has won and Arsenal’s catch up programme – if there is to be one – starts on Monday. Also on Monday we are quite likely to see Ozil, Alexis and Lacazette together on the pitch for the first time this season. Now […]
