The Evolution of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez and their Arsenal roles
Evolution always has positive and negative effects in every form. Take Orcas discovering Great White sharks can become a tasty snack. It was discovered off the Farallon islands, Orca’s ram the oceans most feared predator in the side to flip them on their backs which brings about ‘tonic immobility’ making the shark go into a […]

A Christmas Gift from Arsene to the Fans – Proactive Substitutions before the 70th Minute?
In the immediate aftermath of our defeat to Everton, I read a summary of the game on a social media site, that I couldn’t have worded any better myself. It said simply; “it might be nearly Christmas but we can’t afford to be giving away these type of presents” and the author of the comment, […]
Lewin in and Lewin out at Arsenal? As Gary wants his old job back!!
“Arsene, it Gary, Gary Lewin, how are you me old mucker” “Bonjour Gary, I’m good, how are you? Are England treating you well?” “Well Arsene, as it happens, not so good. You see, they’ve appointed the pizza guy as England manager… And, well, it looks like I’m out of a job” “That’s poor form, you’ve […]
Arsenal didn’t lose that game- Everton won it
I have long criticised Arsenal for not trying, poor tactics, Badly coached defence etc. Now here we are having been beaten 2-1 by Everton which on paper should have been a fairly straightforward task. Many Arsenal fans, especially those who travelled to the game will be traipsing out one or more of the above complaints, […]
The Greatest English Player Never to play for England – Highbury Hero Geordie Armstrong
Quite a long back trip in the time machine to revisit this week’s Highbury Hero, it’s back to 1961, when Arsenal signed a talented young kid from the North East of England, who went on to become a huge Arsenal Legend. Though small in stature he was a massive part of Arsenal’s 1971 Double side […]
Wenger has finally returned to the 442 that brought Arsenal Glory – Will it again?
There was a time I used to write many an article about tactics and formations and many of them were about the possibility of Wenger’s Arsenal returning to a 442 system, or a variation of it. If I am honest I gave up for a few years partly because I was continually told that 442, […]
Iwobi to get the nod over Oxlade-Chamberlain at Goodison Tonight
Howdy. Stupid of me to say that today. We got Bayern Munich again, can’t be too many fans feeling particularly well. I know I don’t. But maybe that has something to do with the first day of work experience on top of a morning exam … Anyhow, we did indeed land ourselves the German giants […]
The Most interesting selection of Season? – Ramsey/Coq, Ox/Iwobi, Walcott/Perez??
Howdy. We face Stoke today and this presents us with a chance to go top of the league, at least temporarily. Chelsea don’t play till Sunday, but there’s another hitch though: we’ll have to beat Stoke by three or more goals to go top. This doesn’t look too big an ask when you take into […]
Perez return timely with Walcott struggling
After half a dozen or so, very disappointing displays, suddenly it is our opponents who appear to be struggling to find their rhythm. On the other hand, we have finally started to deliver the results and football that we knew we are capable of, or should be capable of, considering the talent we have in […]
