Today the ‘Media’ have had a feeding frenzy on Alexis’s foolishness whilst banded together in equally false outrage at the ban given to their darling Joey Barton. All this whilst ignoring the incredible challenge of Yohan Benalouane on Olivier Giroud, which was an obvious Red Card if ever I saw one. Here are some previously […]
Gunner Town reporter James Howson has an exclusive on Sead Kolasinac, the man tipped to be a future Arsenal star. The Bosnian Hulk, The Tank as his countrymen call him or simply Sead Kolasinac as he’s more commonly known is set to sign for Arsenal football club. Firstly I know this is no secret […]
Tonight’s clash with Leicester City marks our first game on home soil for three weeks, with that 3-0 win and performance against West Ham now a very distant memory. Since then we had the disaster that was Crystal Palace away, followed by Arsene Wenger’s unexpected tactical switch to a 5-3-1-1 with wing-backs at Middlesbrough. Then […]
Wembleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey! What an uplifting feeling it is to play another FA Cup final in May, the third in the last four years. It’s been fantastic to see Rob Holding handle his Wembley debut with such composure, to see Gabriel offering us his best Martin Keown impression, to see Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain put in a cherry of […]
Our last two games have been a breath of fresh air for Arsenal fans. A new formation, two wins, and the sense of optimism that we can adapt stylistically to an ever-evolving Premier League. While the 3-4-2-1 formation is gaining the majority of the recognition, and rightly so, my eyes have been telling me that […]
Arsene Wenger in the last week is finally following the football fashion where once he set it by becoming the 17th Premier League manager to play a 3 at the back system in 2016/17. This made me think of a series of 4 articles I write on my old site in the summer of 2015 […]
As Aguero dinked his shot over Cech, who somehow managed to get smaller in size as the Argentinian ran at him, rage started to swell inside me. Up to this point the system chosen by Arsene Wenger was working. It wasn’t flawless, and indeed Arsenal got lucky when Aguero’s half-time goal was ruled inadmissible, but […]
We face Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final today, and, given it’s the only trophy we have any chance of winning this season, I would be delighted to see our players fired up for the occasion. However these last three months have knocked any hope out of me. In fact, we haven’t played good […]
As we head into the weekend that could well represent the watershed for Wenger and Arsenal in 2016/17 and beyond, we are delighted to present a lovely and quite unusual piece from ‘The Arsenal Circular’, Graham Perry. Tomorrow our beloved Gunners will walk out at Wembley in an FA Cup Semi Final with so much […]
Hello Gooners, I hope you are satisfied with the win at the Riverside Stadium, although the performance wasn’t as convincing as it should have been. There’s been a lot of talk about Arsène Wenger’s decision to play three centre-halves and two wing-backs, a lot of people were surprised by this sudden change and so was […]
