It’s Samba time

In the news today:

Christopher Samba is back on the list of transfer targets for Arsenal this summer. The defender, who handed in a transfer request upon Sam Alladyce’s dismissal at Blackburn, would be interested in the move. The Daily Mail quotes the big defender saying: ‘I am at an age where I want to try to do something. You have only one career and it would be a shame not to make the best of it.’

The Republic of Congo international has been the strength behind Blackburn’s survival bid and is an alternative to the usual ‘Wenger style’ of footballer. With a giant frame and a willingness to simply defend, the reputed £12m fee could see Samba sign for Arsenal.
