In the news today:
It has been widely reported, most notably in The Mirror, that Nicklas Bentdner will leave the club this summer. Various fees are being mooted from £5m to £9m, and with Bayern Munich said to be the most interested.
Bentdner, or ‘Barn Door’ as he has been dubbed by some fans because of his inability to score goals consistently, has endured a mixed spell at the club. Following on from a good season on loan at Birmingham in 2006, the Dane hasn’t ever really sustained a serious challenge to start for the Gunners and it appears Wenger is keen to cash in.
Additionally, the Arsenal fans have never really adhered to the 23 year old’s lacklustre goal tally.
