In the news today:

According to the PFA website, Give Me Football, young Belgian star, Charly Musonda Jnr has turned down an opportunity to train with Arsenal and Manchester United among others, in favour of Barcelona.

The 14 year old, of Anderlecht, is fast becoming a well known name across Europe and has attracted a whole host of big clubs.

Musonda’s father, Charly Musonda Snr is a former Zambian international and said: “So far, no ridiculous offers have been made. We have only accepted an invitation from Barcelona. My son has told me he would like to play at Barcelona one day. Real Madrid have also said my son could make it there, but I haven’t received an invitation yet.”

Any deal for the Belgian in England is unlikely with British laws preventing Arsenal, or any other suitors, from offering a professional contract to an under 16.
