The Daily Mail are suggesting that Arsenal’s deal for Argentine, Ricardo Alvarez is back on. The midfield star, 23, was linked with Arsenal weeks ago and at one point it seemed a matter of when rather than if, however with his club, Velez Sarsfield putting a £11m price tag on his head, the deal fell through.
However, Wenger has supposedly gone back in for the player with chief executive, Richard Law holding talks with the South American outfit.
The Daily Mail also believe that Arsenal have tracked Alvarez for three years and its thought at the club that the time is right now for Gunners boss, Wenger to make his move.

In answer to Ewa Jerome … no … Wenger does not own the club. He is paid by the Board to do a job. Unfortunately he has been allowed to act like the Finance Director as well as general dictator. Meanwhile the Board don't know any better and Wenger has taken care to surround himself with coaching staff whose job is to be Yes Men.

Aivarez is a very good player and is going to be a plus for arsenal but Hazerd is just the player we need.
