In the news today:
News is gathering pace that Valencia ace, Juan Mata is a definitive target for Arsenal. The World Cup winner, 23, is highly rated and would demand a fee of around £23m, and Metro believe a bid could well be on the cards.
While scounts watched Thiago Alcantara in the summer’s U21 European Championships, Mata has caught the eye with a string of impressive performances.
Mata however is quoted in Metro suggesting: ‘I want to win a trophy with Valencia next season. I’ve not planned anything different as I’ve a contract until 2015,’ meaning it’s more likely Mata will stay in Spain.
Valencia however may have other ideas with an exaggerated offer for the pacey forward as they struggle with financial difficulties hanging over the in recent seasons.
Would you like to see Mata in Arsenal colours?
i hope they will sign him , but from the looks of it i dont think so.
wenger will never spend that much on a player no matter how ratted he is . besides it will be a bidding war probably and thats signals game over for us 🙁 . but at least we still got our hopes up (until january 2012 )
