Jeremy Wilson of The Daily Telegraph writes today that Nicklas Bentdner is in advanced talks with Borussia Dortmund or Germany, and Sporting Lisbon of Portugal respectively.
The Danish forward has made no secret of his desire to leave Arsenal this summer following his failure to break into the first-team on a consistent basis.
The 23 year old has scored 22 goals in his seven years at Arsenal, as well as 11 for Birmingham City following an impressive loan spell in 2006. However, Bentdner’s own self-confidence as well as Wenger’s lack of it will ultimately see a deal pushed through in the coming weeks following the Dane’s omission from the tour squad.
