In the news today:
The Daily Mail report today that Arsenal are interested in a second winger, in addition to Spain’s Juan Mata, and that man is Wolves’ Matt Jarvis.
The 25 year old, who made his England debut last season against Ghana, would demand a fee of around £12m with the usual ‘English player add-ons’ attributed if they (Arsenal) were to make the ‘unexpected swoop’.
The report suggests that scouts were at Wolves’ friendly this weekend against Ipswich Town, however, they were left disappointed when Jarvis was ruled out with a groin strain.
Jarvis was arguably Wolves’ best player last term, contributing large chunks to their survival in the Premiership and would be a huge blow for the Birmingham side if they did lose him.
