Joel Campbell – The bargain from Costa Rica

WTTGT Writer: Freddy Allen (Aged 14)

It has been reported by Sky Sports and The Daily Mail among others that the Gunners are interested in signing Costa Rican teenager Joel Campbell for a fee of around £1m pounds, and if you look at the statistics this is a remarkable bargain.

His domestic career so far is yet to lift off scoring one goal in seven appearances for his local clubs Saprissa and Puntarenas F.C. However, his international career on the other hand is exceptional, scoring 18 goals in 21 games at junior level and 2 in 6 games at senior level, including a fantastic goal against Bolivia in this year’s Copa America.

Arsène Wenger should do all he can to wrap up a move for this youngster because he is a great bargain. He’s another player for the future, but with the likes of Juventus, Barcelona, Man Utd and Real Madrid sniffing around, sooner rather than later would be a better option.

He don't know the meaning of sooner rather than later

He cant be a bargain before any deal is concluded. Please stop these unnecessary and misleading headlines when every gooner has eyes wide open for something more concrete and official to pop in the media, as time painfully ticks away…. once again.

Note to the author – this move has no possibility until next summer, even then I wouldn't count on it.
