Vote: Should Nasri play against Udinese

Today’s vote is whether or not Samir Nasri shoudl play against Udinese this week.

If he plays, we will be cup-tied for the rest of the European campaign, therefore probably scuppering any deal with Manchester City, but also any potential investments that Arsene Wenger can make on the back of the sale. Nasri could then leave on a Bosman free transfer at the end of the season, and Arsenal will potentially miss out on £20m.

If he doesn’t play, Arsenal are probably a weaker side against a good Udinese team. Missing out on qualifying for the Champions League can potentially cost Arsenal around £30m. Additionally, Arsenal have every right to play the Frenchman – he is after all under contract with the Gunners.

So, should Arsenal play Nasri against Udinese? Have your say…

Qualifying for Champions League Group Stage is of paramount importance to Arsenal to attract good talent to the Emirates.
We would also stand to gain around £30M although that will mean we stand to lose £20M.
To recoup that loss we could sell Nasri in the January transfer window for about £10M.
