In the news today:
German newspaper, Bild, have revealed that Arsenal made a late £35m deadline day bid for Borussia Dortmund’s 19 year old star, Mario Götze.
The German ace, who Arsenal will face in the forthcoming Champions League campaign, was described by Matthias Sammer, technical director of the National Side as “one of the best talents we’ve ever had.”
The move was turned down by Dortmund and Arsenal switched their attentions to Everton’s Mikael Arteta, a move that did prove fruitful when they wrapped the deal up shortly before the cut-off point.

If we can beat Dortmund in both Champions League, we might convince him to join us next summer. If we can sign him and hazard next summer plus Cahill than we are towards building another invisible team.
You said, Desmond: “invisible” team, indeed.
Haha. An 'invisible' team could work, good thinking Desmond.
Hardly covered in Brit media but big revival of German fottball since Bundesliga coached ditched power for pace and skill. BVB is proof of that Bundesliga is full of value of money world class or near world class players. With an Everton like budget coach Klopp has a young, exiting team. Götze is just one of them, they also have Hummels, Bender, Grosskreutz, Kagawa, Barrios and Lewandowski…the CL ties against them will show that the core of Arsenal should no longer be French or African players from Ligue 1, where the rest of the world by now have learnt their tricks.
