Arsenal will have to beat financial power house Malaga if they want to sign French striker Oliver Giroud.
Having already signed Lukas Podolski, it is thought that Arsene Wenger has put Giroud as his top transfer target this summer.
The 25-year-old Montpellier frontman impressed this season as he helped lead the club to the league title.
Sadly Arsene will face competition from Malaga who are looking for a star to replace Ruud van Nistelrooy who is retiring at the end of the season.
The French club are looking for over £10m, and now the Spanish club, who are bankrolled by a member of the Qatari royal family who bought them in the summer of 2010, are likely to start a bidding war.
