So reports are surfacing all over Twitter that Barcelona frontman David Villa has been spotted at Heathrow.
I can already hear the sound of keyboards typing uncertain rumours.
Many will simply read between the lines. Arsenal want Villa, he wants Arsenal (so reports claim), and he has flown to London in January. It can surely only mean one thing. Can it?
Don’t get me wrong, I’d be the first carry his bags the moment he stepped off the plane if he was coming to the Emirates, but for now, for the sake of not ending up disappointed, I would suggest that we keep calm about the situation before we all break down and go mental.
It is rumoured that Arsenal are trying to use that fact that Barcelona owe us money from the sales of Cesc Fabregas and Alex Song as a factor in signing the Spaniard.
After breaking his leg, Villa has been limited to a place on the Barca bench for the majority of his comeback, and he came on to play the last 25 minutes of the side’s 4-0 win over Espanyol on Sunday.
It is thought that around £13m could be enough to prise him away from the Nou Camp, and he himself is begging the Barca hierarchy to grant him permission to move to Arsenal.
He would be a fantastic purchase for the Gunners, and seeing as that Barca owe us money, we should have first dibs on him.

so (video) meaning a highlights video, not of him at the airport – not a misleading article in the slightest..
True he is in london.
He is in The royal garden hotel,Kensington.
But so is Chelsea FC,
Conference room booked
You're wrong about Villa wants to leave. Something Brittish press invented.
@Sergi
I suspect you are wide of the mark in that assertion – though he won't becoming to Arsenal, Barca wouldn't stoop as low as to accepting an offer from Wenger of a busted Yoyo and a used piece of chewing gum!
Isn't his wife expecting a baby in the next few weeks? I can't see him wanting to be away
Whole story is crap. Wenger would never pay £13m for a 31 year old who has never played in England and is recovering from a broken leg.
Barca still owe Arsenal £8m on Alex Song. A deal could happen for that amount – meaning Arsenal don't pay anymore.
But there is a lot of truth in our link to Adrian Lopez who is younger, faster, and more versatile, but would cost about £12m
Hahahah as if Wenger would compromise his principles, the stubborn, arrogant old man would rather be caught naked in a hotel with a tranny then use 5 pounds on David Villa.
