Micah Richards set for shock Arsenal switch?

Rumours that Bacary Sagna wants to leave North London have caused Arsenal to align their sights upon Manchester City’s out of fitness, and favour, full-back Micah Richards reports Mirror Football

Richards is rumoured to be in danger of falling foul of the summer cull at City, as they look to clear out some of the proverbial ‘dead wood’ to finance potential deals for Edinson Cavani and a raft of other highly rated names reportedly on Roberto Mancini’s radar.

Maicon, Wayne Bridge, Scott Sinclair – purchased just last summer – and Roque Santa Cruz are all set to leave Eastlands as Mancini faces up to the disappointing campaign that he has presided over this season. The move may come as a surprise, as Richards has been at City since 2005, but his hand may be forced.

Richards has been injured since October, having damaged his knee. A pre-season and regular first-team football is vital to the strong full-back’s hopes of regaining a slot in the England squad, from which he has disappeared. First team football is something that appears beyond him at City, particularly on a regular basis, as fans’ favourite the ever dependable Pablo Zabaleta currently holds the right back slot.

We will have to wait and see what happens.

Great idea! lets getr Micah Richards despite the fact that he has a troublesome knee injury that keeps him out for of most the season- season by season.
The reason Sagna's not getting a longer deal is rumoured to be because of his own injury record and you suggest that our alternative should be to take City's sick note to cover the loss. Please.
