I don’t know if anybody else has noticed but Gareth Bale has had his ears pinned back.
They were very noticeable before, huge in fact, and poor Gareth must have been sick of those massive ear sticking out all the time. Probably effected his balance. Or something.
Now, it’s no secret that Bale looks a little bit like a monkey and during last weekend’s north London derby between Spurs and Arsenal a Gooner hurled a banana at the Welshman as he was preparing to take a corner.
Hilariously, the referee had to walk over to the banana which was directly in Bale’s line of sight and remove it from the pitch. He must have seen it and, let’s face it, it’s pretty bloody funny.
The authorities didn’t seem to think so, however, and they have apparently charged the fan or something to that effect.
They appear to be missing the point that this is football and opposing fans are going to give players some stick and perhaps a little verbal abuse.
Granted, this is quite an odd one but at least it is not a coin or something that could harm Bale. If he was hit on the hit head with the banana, heaven forbid, it wouldn’t have hurt him one bit. In fact, Bale would have stuck it in his pocket to eat at half-time. Probably

So, basically what you're saying is Bale is a brilliant player who you wish played for your declining team? All this focus on GB speaks volumes and helps to deflect Gooner pain about their own team's shortcomings. Spurs now have a better chairman, better manager and a better squad of players. New stadium coming and I'll bet we manage to fill it every week too. Oh the times they are a' changing…
Let's face it – it's actually very pathetic ……….. when you can't talk about the results, slap someone to distract attention. Your club is more grown up than you – they are going to ban the silly little boy!
Honestly can you say it would have been funny if it was a black player? At the end of the day abuse is abuse and is subjective.
As the reasons to why the banana was thrown was based on his appearance (apparently you claim he looks like a monkey, however evidence suggests that it would be more fitting that the description you are looking for is an an ape more so than a monkey as chimpanzees are apes not monkeys), this is no different than throwing a banana at a black player because his skin tone resembles that of a primate. Now considering that he has had surgery to have a cosmetic change to his appearance for his own gratification/self esteem and image it is safe to assume that there maybe be some sensitivity about his appearance.
But having said all this I realise that what I am expecting is some form of sense to come from the mouths and minds of a GOONER?! Now I realise that my efforts will no doubt be in vein to try and get a Gooner to see sense, as a sensible Gooner is as rare as rocking horse shit!
Enjoy the run in to the end of the season MUGS!
I have never (ever) bothered to enter comments on forum sites such as this one. And reading the headline and article above compounds the knowledge that most of these sites are actually tripe. Could you imagine any decent media outlet to even consider putting such an article together let alone publishing it? You are a disgrace to good journalism!
Welcom to the Gunner's town (North London's answer to football) HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…………………………
Tell me, did your fellow Gooner bring just the one banana or did he have another one for Adebayor too?
How the hell can a total knuckle-dragging neanderthal criticise a player for their looks. Only a cretin with no concept of sportsmanship would think it's worthy of an article to laud a moron whose concept of clever is throw a banana at a football match. Blimey-big and clever. Surely grown up Arsenal fans must be cringing at this challenged, immature idiot being representative of their club. This peurile article doesn't distract from the result or performance but merely shows a lack of intelligence. To mature Arsenal fans , I offer my condolences to have such a pilklock amongst their number.
im arsenal fan what our fan did was perfetic needs big ban ..hurts but bale in my eyes is a great player andf fair play to the spurs done lot better than us this season but haha we will be back next season tellin ya
