Goalfests at Wembley, Managerial merry-go-round, and Boxing knockouts; where to put your money this weekend

Welcome to this week’s blog. Now that
the Premier League season is finished, over the coming weeks I will be looking
into other football-related markets and also a few other sports. However there
are still three games on which it may be worth pinning a few £ on over this
next week.

First up on
Saturday is the Champions League final which is between Bayern Munich and
Borussia Dortmund, let’s try to highlight a few tasty bets in that match.

I know
Bayern have a very good defence and don’t concede goals many but I really think
it could be a goalfest at Wembley, and I reckon it could end up 3-2 to either
side! So taking that on board, the following bets must be worth a couple of £.

Over 4.5
Goals @ 4/1

Dortmund to
win 3-2 @ 35/1

Bayern to
win  3-2 @ 22/1

If you fancy
a Goalscorer bet then Robert Lewandowski is 6/1 to open the scoring or to score
anytime is 17/10, however the value bet on him is 11/4 to open the scoring for
his team.

A Bayern
Goalscorer to watch out for is Thomas Muller who is 13/2 to open the scoring or
15/8 to score anytime, he is 4/1 to open the scoring for his team.

If you think
it may be a cagey game then it may be worth backing each team to win in
Extra-time. These odds are

Bayern to
win in Extra Time- 13/2

Dortmund to
win in Extra Time – 14/1

Think it may
go to the dreaded penalty shootout? Then either side to win on spot kicks is
12/1.

Now onto the
other game at Wembley over the next few days, the Championship playoff final between
Crystal Palace and Watford. Playoff finals usually are high-scoring affairs so
+4.5 goals @ 5/1 looks appealing.

I’m going to
flag three high-scoring results that pay high odds as again both sides should
go for it.

3-3 Draw @
45/1

Palace to
win 4-3 @ 150/1

Watford to
win 4-3 @ 125/1

One bet that
interests is Wilfried Zaha to score a hattrick is 80/1. The wide pitch may suit
him on his last game for Palace before he leaves to join Manchester United.

This Weeks Tenner Bet

£10 +4.5
Goals in Palace v Watford playoff final

Now let’s
have a look at the managerial betting markets, as there are so many vacancies
at the moment.

Manchester City Job-

Manuel Pelligrini  – 1/20

Jose Mourinho
– 8/1

Brendan Rodgers/Rafael
Benitez – Both 22/1

Everton Job-

Roberto Martinez
– 3/1

Vitor
Pereira- 4/1

Neil Lennon
–  6/1

Phil Neville
–  28/1

Real Madrid Job

Carlo Ancelotti  – 1/5

Benitez  – 12/1

Jupp Heynckes  – 16/1

Andre Villas-Boas  – 40/1
( I was told a few weeks ago AVB would be approached by RM when Jose
left )

Chelski Job

Jose
Mourinho – 1/19

Everyone
else starts from 28-1.

Those of you
who enjoy boxing will be aware of the Carl Froch/Mikkel Kessler fight on
Saturday night. Although I enjoy watching boxing I will admit I’m no expert on
the sport so I asked a guy I follow on Twitter (@macho_Grande1) who knows his boxing
onions.

@Macho_Grande1
thinks Kessler’s best days are behind him and that Froch will stop him in the
latter rounds. The group round betting for this tip is:

Froch by stoppage
in group round 7-9 @ 8/1

Froch by stoppage
in group round 10-12 @ 9/1

Next Week I’ll
be looking at odds for players who are on Arsenal’s radar…..

Remember to
only bet ££ you can afford to lose. Feel free to contact me on Twitter   @yorkshiregunner and tell me your thoughts
or any decent bets you have found.
