The result against Bayern was bad but I think that if we had been able to field the same team as we did for the first match it would have been a much different result. Gabriel`s lack of match time showed and the gaps between him and Mertesacker were apparent throughout.
I would say one thing though. The result disguised how well Ozil played. The critics understandably looked for the man of the match from the winning team but I would challenge anyone to watch a recording and I think you will find that in a team which was ultimately steamrollered, he never missed a pass. He covered the pitch from end to end and he fought for possession. he received the ball in impossible positions and made spaces from nothing. At the end he was exhausted but he came off the pitch with his best performance in an Arsenal shirt behind him.

Debuchy must have been dreading the game given his recent performances knowing that he was up against the new wonder boy in Coman. He did have a torrid time but to his credit, he stuck at it and it gives some encouragement for the Spurs game that at the end, he was showing signs of improvement. One has to think Wenger must stick with the Frenchman for Sunday of risk destroying his fragile confidence.
I think we may surprise Spurs provided we don`t let them off the starting blocks as they did at the Lane.
Thanks Victor!
