Stories from the Riverview
So, I was in The Riverview (my local in Balmain) on Friday night with my American mates Dan and Jadon, when Dan (whose from Atlanta) gets a call from his ex-pool boys, dog sitters, postman’s sister, who gives him some inside news from the step brother, of Atlanta United’s groundsman’s cleaner.
Apparently, he had been given the scoop on some breaking news from inside the Mercedes Benz Stadium.
The story coming from the leading lights in the Eastern Conference is that, Unai is preparing to throw Rambo out with the bath water in January and his replacement is to be Paraguayan and Five Stripes starlet Miguel Almiron.
The quote from our American ITK was;
“Those limeys from North London Town, have parted with 13 million of their English pounds for ‘The Heartbeat’ and he’s exiting over the pond in January”
As for the Welsh Messi, all he could add was that Emery didn’t think he was worth £300k a week and basically he could sod off (Arsenal had not confirmed this exact stance at the time of publishing – editor).
My mates confirmed that with 12 goals, 13 assists, 1 player of the month award, 7 team of the week representations, a goal of the week trophy and making the MLS All Star Game Roster, Almiron is the real deal and worth every cent.
I finished my pint, jumped on YouTube (like all good ITKs), found this below, ignored the awful American commentary and thought, he looks like he’s worth a punt.
