HIGHLIGHT

Paul Hepker: Leo Trossard’s courage and commitment. He surely has to start every game. So consistent.

Dave Seager: Zinchenko’s best game of the season and my MOTM. Does this give Arteta a new option? (See headlight)

Steve Wellman: Zinny’s expertly executed scissor kick. A sadly seldom seen art.

Thomas Bahnson: If we did’nt already know it by now, Trossard is the only option up front when Jesus is unavailable. He is simply too effective not to start. Who would have thought that by playing the good footballers production comes. And now we can have a debate on who the good footballers are.

Mike McDonald: A Centre Back scoring from a corner. Considering we have more corners than anybody else in the league, our main targets needed to start contributing.

Dwayne Bingham: Coping without a conventional no.10. Due to the loss of Odegaard and Emile Smith Rowe it’s nice to see the impact hasn’t held the team back. We were patient and the chances came, the rest of the team stepped up and played their role to perfection meaning we could do what was required with minimal disruption to our game plan.

LOWLIGHT

Paul Hepker: Vieira with an unlucky, but stupid red card. Doesn’t help his trajectory, but hopefully it opens the door for another player to prove his worth. Nothing Arteta has tried in the midfield has really clicked.

Dave Seager: Vieira should simply not be grabbing minutes ahead of Nelson or a fit ESR for me. Please try and recoup some money of at least loan him somewhere he can grow and toughen up.

Steve Wellman: Let’s play spot the difference.

Spot The Difference

Thomas Bahnson: We cant seem to get the midfield right. So many variations tried but none have given us flow. Jorginho is fine but are we too sideways with him? Havertz runs around alot but can we have a midfield without goals and assists? Rice is our best midfielder this season but gets moved around. Its a worry for sure.

Mike McDonald: That could’ve been a sliding doors moment in Fabio Vieira’s career. He had an opportunity open up for a run of games and that’s gone.

Dwayne Bingham: Not shutting up shop with a clean sheet. We are shipping goals a little too frequently lately. Especially against opposition which shouldn’t get a sniff. Regardless if they are consolation goals we need to get back to not switching off in games and making things harder for ourselves.

HEADLIGHT

Paul Hepker:  Some time for the short-term injuries to heal. The holiday season is intense – keeping step with City is imperative. With injuries piling up, we’re going to have to find a backbone that will carry us through.

Dave Seager: Is it time to play all three inform FBs? Can Arteta play Tomiyasu and White and move Zinny officially into a midfield berth? Would he have more control and creativity with Rice back at 6 and the Ukrainian at left 8? This has the added bonus of removing Havertz from the starting 11.

Steve Wellman: A couple weeks off for the interlull. Hopefully enough time for some short term injuries to uncrock themselves.

Thomas Bahnson: The team is producing results despite so many players not reaching the required level. 13-14 players are carrying the squad to these high positions in the PL and CL.

Mike McDonald: Still haven’t got close to clicking, yet tied for first.

Dwayne Bingham: International break which hopefully means those players close to return from injury can fully recover and we have most players back and available for when we take on Brentford.
