Another Limp and Conservative Emery Low – AFC v WWFC Review/Player Ratings
This is another low – as we surrendered another lead and this time it was to Wolves. A draw was perhaps the fairest result as Wolves had chances – and overall had more shots on goal than we did. Yet again, we’ve been out-shot, and this isn’t on. Wolves is a decent side, and they […]
No Mourinho here thanks – Despite his love of Classy Mesut
I cannot understand why so much paper is being foolishly stuffed with talk about Mourinho. He was audacious, self – opinionated and quick to disparage other managers, but he was successful which of course increased his Ego. He was brash. An Inter fan christened him “The Special One” when he joined them and thereafter he […]
Liverpool 5-5 Arsenal [5-4 Penalties]: ‘A Seminal Moment at the Crossroads’
‘A Seminal Moment at the Crossroads’ Any day now it’s about to happen. The Arsenal board will arrive at the crossroads. They have to decide. Most certainly a seminal moment in our recent history. Even though this game was the least important (finally a fun fest for the fans), it once again exposed Emery. We […]
Empty seats at The Emirates – What can be done to correct this?
I don’t hold a season ticket but I try to attend as many games as possible. I’m just a Red member, though I’m at position c. 20,000 in the season ticket list or so…. However, it’s not a good look if a club like THE Arsenal has some empty seats available. It doesn’t look good […]
Dark Days for Club, as Arsenal seems to lose its Way
“We are all humans, we all have emotions, and sometimes it’s not easy dealing with them. It’s time to lift each other up, not to push each other away. We only win when we are together.“ These fantastic words are just a well constructed, diplomatic and compassionate way of trying to help, to defuse and […]
Why Why Why Unai? – Yes it is a Tom Jones Tribute (or not!)
Why, Why, Why, Unai We saw the light on the night that we let go of Wenger We saw the flickering genius and that he was losing his mind He was a top manager But he was left wanting and we knew that we had to call time My my my Unai Why […]
#Xhakagate – A Dark day in the history of Arsenal Football Club
A dark day in the history of Arsenal Football Club As Bob Dylan once said “The time’s they are a changing” I’ve been going to watch The Arsenal for well over 50 years now and must admit I was shocked and embarrassed by my fellow Arsenal fans reaction when Xhaka’s number was held up on […]
Same Old Arsenal – Totally without guile, guidance and guts (Player/Manager Ratings)
Today was another poor game for Arsenal. Crystal Palace is a club, for me at least, that I view as a feeder of some club legends (Ian Wright and Kenny Sansom) and duds (Eddie McGoldrick). I recall that Gilles Grimandi scored a wonder goal against them, on the way to us winning the 1998 Double. […]
Arsenal 2-2 Crystal Palace: ‘The Unnecessary Self Destruction of Unai Emery’
‘The Unnecessary Self Destruction of Unai Emery’ I wonder if anyone in Unai Emery’s circle will ever sit him down and tell him the truth. As and when he leaves Arsenal somebody needs to tell him that he blew up his own birthday party. Last Spring many wanted a rest from Arsenal. In a short […]
Palace at home is your Watershed Moment Unai – Seize the day or make way?
Everything about today seems to suggest Emery and his Arsenal project have arrived at a pivotal watershed moment on Sunday 27th October 2019… The fans are restless and vocalised this in the home stadium this week The media are discussing Emery’s replacement His own fans are discussing his replacement His boss had Mourinho as a […]
