Wolves 3-1 Arsenal: Who stole the jumpers?! Boring and bad – Gunners roll over for Wolves [Positive Needs & Hopes]
‘WHO STOLE THE JUMPERS?’ Positives, Needs and Hopes One of Unai Emery’s very first soundbites was, “We want to be protagonists!” I’m glad he wants to be as all fans love attacking football but we are protagonists only every once in a while. Personally, I would not have made this statement without the individual […]
Is Mustafi the best of the worst in Arsenal’s Rich Pantheon of poor Defenders?
‘The best of the worst of the rest? I have been a bit quiet on the site over the last month or so. Manic work schedule and a well-earned holiday have restricted my output. So on Sunday night, I finally found a bar in Khao Lak showing the game and, to be fair, I should […]
Please Mr Emery put Mustafi away for the season and let the sun shine on Arsenal again
What a weekend for sitting out in the sun and enjoying an early summer. Blue skies all around and I should be happy. Unfortunately, a cloud hanging over AFC is spoiling my mini holiday. I have read Mike McDonald`s excellent article and he very succinctly describes his dissatisfaction with Mustafa. I don`t think I could describe […]
Arsenal 2-3 Crystal Palace – Emery schooled by Grandpa Roy as Gunners trip in Top 4 chase [Review + Player Ratings]
Arsenal 2-3 Crystal Palace Premier League Review Our top four hopes have been dented, and in some ways shattered. Roy Hodgson has proven he’s no dead/joke manager since his game plan worked a treat. And despite Manchester United and Spurs losing, we couldn’t capitalise on their failures. We failed just as much. This […]
Arsenal 2-3 Crystal Palace: The £100 Million Upgrade On Show at Emirates [Positive Needs & Hopes]
‘THE £100 MILLION UPGRADE’ Positives, Needs and Hopes I’ve decided to not cause myself any further pain. It would be super easy to go in two footed on that selection and performance but no doubt you’ve read that over and over already as it’s 35 minutes after the final whistle and that’s all I’ve read. […]
El Clasico Midfielders heading for the exit to Arsenal?
El Clasico Midfielders heading for the exit to Arsenal? As we look into the shadows of another fascinating week of European football, we see that this season’s climax is fast approaching. Many big hitters have left the champions league, Man City, Juventus and of course Real Madrid, both to a youthful Ajax side. Barcelona continue […]
A Tricky Selection for Emery for the visit of Hodgson’s Eagles
Arsenal vs. Crystal Palace – PL preview After the triumph in Naples, we face fellow Londoners Crystal Palace at home on Easter Sunday. With their keeper, seemingly, not having knowledge of arguably the definitive events of the 20th century (for our country and globally….) Palace seems safe enough though they would want to […]
Another 9/10 from Koscielny and one end and Laca at the other sees Arsenal brush aside a limp Napoli
Napoli 0-1 Arsenal – Europa League QF Second Leg (0-3 agg.) It took a beauty from Lacazette to secure an excellent win in the San Paolo stadium. Napoli was anticipated to be strong, forward, and pressing, as they needed to be. But they weren’t. If anything, I was surprised at how limp […]
Emery and his staff have made Arsenal better simply by improving our players individually – The Unspoken illumination!
The Unspoken Illumination’ – Positives, needs and hopes! Personal improvement has never been and will never be headline making. (unless you are Pep perhaps!! I was watching the game last night and suddenly I was struck by the absent headline of the ‘New Arsenal.’ It was just after AMN confidently breezed past Insigne on […]
Can Arsenal’s Greek colossus be the pillar of defense that thwarts Napoli’s attack? (Europa QF Preview – 2nd Leg)
Napoli vs. Arsenal Europa League preview QF 2nd Leg (0-2 Aggregate) We’re heading to southern Italy, and the city of Naples – or Napoli in Italian. Napoli has been the biggest challenger to Juventus of late, beating either bigger clubs like Inter and AC Milan in this regard. They’re no slouches really – since they […]
