Blackpool 0-3 Arsenal: Emery’s Golden Problem (and how to solve it…) [Positive Needs & Hopes]
Willock reopens the modern day dilemma POSITIVES, NEEDS and HOPES Depending on how brave Unai Emery is or how patient the club are, Joe Willock may yet become a regular Arsenal squad player. Or maybe not…… Here’s the thing. I’ve seen enough of young players not being trusted to come to the conclusion that the […]
Arsenal: Holding Out For A Hero (To Return)
Holding out for a hero My timeline has been peppered with #EmeryOut statements over the past few days. FFS, seriously, yes we were battered, but, Unai is a world class coach, who has inherited a squad that needs a massive overhaul, which can’t be undertaken in one window. We know we need at least one […]
Arsenal 4-1 Fulham: Gunners up for Top 4 fight as they find their rhythm [Positives, Needs & Hopes]
The Return of Rhythm? POSITIVES, NEEDS and HOPES This season, and even during the unbeaten run, I was very concerned at the lack of big chances we were creating. Perhaps the constant formation changes and line ups have been responsible? Today we created 9 big chances in the second half! So the question becomes….. how […]
Tough questions for Emery as battered Arsenal crawls into New Year
New years questions for Emery As you wake up today, you – like many people -have been greeted by many questions, questions like…What will this new year bring? Will THIS be my year? Or even where are my trousers? But for Arsenal manager Unai Emery he is greeted with far different questions, questions like what […]
An EPIC Arsenal review of 2018 – Good, bad, and the ugly.
Arsenal 2018 – the good, the bad, and the ugly At the time of writing, the Liverpool game at Anfield is still to come. But 2018 nonetheless is soon to end. It’s been a very mixed year for our club. Wenger, our greatest ever manager, left. This delighted many, but it was a required […]
Liverpool 5-1 Arsenal – Emery tweaks, Defence Leaks, Future’s Bleak? (Review + Player Ratings)
Did Emery replace our defence with a sieve? This may surprise some, but I think our display wasn’t all bad at Anfield. This ground is an odd one for us – we’ve had some immense highs (1989) and deep lows. This has to go along with the lows. We created chances in some […]
Temporary blip or year-end collapse? Emery needs to hit Arsenal’s Refresh button. Fast.
This game against Brighton has to be the worst performance from Arsenal this year. We had 68% possession and were a goal up after 6 minutes yet we could only manage a1-1 draw against a team whose players were shivering with fear at the start of the game. They could not string two passes together […]
Emery lost his Bottle, Selfies and Discipline – Arsenal Christmas News round-up
It’s time for another news round-up. These are just some thoughts on the happenings around the club lately, both on and off the pitch. It’s both a serious and jesty look at what has been going on at the club we all love. Emery has the bottle… Our manager, Senor Emery, has been […]
Mesut Ozil – luxury or necessity? Arsenal’s Master Assister under the microscope.
Does Mesut Ozil do it in the big games? Mesut Ozil, our once record signing, is a divisive figure amongst us fans. Nobody, really, questions his innate quality. In raw technical terms, only perhaps Dennis Bergkamp or Santi Cazorla can surpass him. However, he is not as consistent as he could be, and in […]
C’mon Arsenal, light your fire! Got deadwood to burn… (Brighton 1-1 Arsenal)
Arsenal about to light the fire 🔥 POSITIVES, NEEDS and HOPES Sometimes the coach needs to see something so poor in order for the fire to arrive. Ever since I moved from London to the US, I have greatly enjoyed living here but if I was to change something then this would be on the […]
