Arsenal struggle to be superior… Positives, Needs and Hopes
Ok, I’m being spoilt. Arsenal have won yet again and it’s not quite enough. Perhaps I speak for many when I say that we are ok with it but we are a little worried. Worried that good results with only good performances for 30-50% of the game may be a habit that won’t last. The […]
Just Some Robbie That I Used To Know
Just some Robbie I used to know So RVP will hang up his boots at the end of the season and to most Gooners he is a footnote in Arsenal history. He shoulda choulda been an Arsenal legend, but when push came to shove, the ‘little boy inside’ told him to chase the money and […]
“THEO GIVE US A BALL” – The Autobiography of Arsenal Legend Theo Foley [Book Review]
By Gary Lawrence THEO GIVE US A BALL is the autobiography of Theo Foley co-authored by Theo and his son Paul. When Paul sent me a copy of their book he told me that once I start reading it I wouldn’t be able to put it down and he wasn’t wrong. It’s a cracking read […]
Three Decisive Moments Halt Gunners’ Winning Streak (Positives, Needs and Hopes)
3 decisive moments…. Positives, Needs and Hopes Well, that wasn’t easy but that’s good for us. Will help us prepare for more difficult games. Three decisive moments decided the outcome. Mr. Rash had obviously been missing his close relationship with the grass and so decided to make a visit via whacking Kouyate. How long will […]
Result Dozen Match Expectation: Palace holds Arsenal to scrappy and physical draw (Match Review)
Crystal Palace 2-2 Arsenal Premier League review This was a real blood and guts game. Palace had a game plan, and this was to rough up, tackle, press, and hassle us. And it worked for them, largely. They were not high up in the table, however, they hadn’t scored a goal before today at […]
Arsenal Legend Paul Merson triggers Gooner snowflakes: is it justified?
Paul Merson is without a doubt an Arsenal legend. He was part of the mid-80s crop of Keown, Adams, the late, great Rocky Rocastle, Thomas, Quinn, etc. who were part of the core of the 1989/1991 title-winning teams. He also had the guile which possibly made our “boring” tag of this period unfair. […]
Weather the early storm and we should make it 12 on the bounce – Palace Preview
Crystal Palace vs. Arsenal – Premier League preview It’s north vs. south London on Sunday, and the media as usual term this a “London derby”. Yes, technically it’s accurate. We’re both in the same city, so we’re geographically close. However, derby to me denotes rivalry, hate, and animosity. This for us only applies to […]
‘Sort of’ surplus to Arsenal requirements Aaron
‘A few weeks before we sort of agreed and I was ready to sign’, Aaron Ramsey told the always enjoyable Amy Lawrence, yet he didn’t put pen to paper. By the sound of it, everyone was happy with the outcome of the negotiations and Aaron Ramsey looked set to extend his stay in North London […]
Unai Emery’s game plan revealed? Positives, Needs and Hopes
People are talking. I think they are right. I think that Unai Emery’s game plan is to feel out the opponent in the first half, taking less risks, and win the game in the second half with his smart tactical mind and a fitter team. It has happened too often to not be a thing. […]
It’s 2018 FFS
It is 2018, Snowflake. Hi @Nacho-Monreal. My 6 year old son asked me, why you are called Nacho and do you promote unhealthy salted snacks. I said I don’t know and I don’t know. Maybe you should change you name to ‘Vegan Chia and Quinoa Flakes Monreal’. It is 2018, after all. Hi @AlexLacazette. My […]
