Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal 17th September 2017 Stamford Bridge – Premier League That was better. Better than Anfield. Better than..well most other top teams in recent years. Conte is supposedly the tactical master but Wenger, the supposed tactical dinosaur, “out-tacticed” Conte. And I’m sure all the pundits, who like us fans rightly dismiss the team, […]
In all those years of playing Chelsea away I almost developed an inferiority complex. I have got used to our visits to Stamford Bridge as write-off games, to the point I thought we can just start the season with -3 and skip the trip to the Blues. That’s why it was thoroughly enjoyable to watch […]
Welcome to the only place where you can read the inside track on the goings on Inside Wenger’s Head. It has been an interesting week I can tell you.. The landlord has been very supportive of a barman called Danny. He is often off sick for long periods and even when he is working, he […]
The result of the match should not disguise that this was another poor performance. The first half was a copy of the game between Spurs and Borussia Dortmund except that we were the dominant force and we should have punished Cologne as Dortmund who had 63% possession should have punished Spurs. The similarity of approach […]
Chelsea vs. Arsenal Stamford Bridge – 17th Sept. 2017 Premier League Preview I think in some ways, Chelsea vs. Arsenal is becoming secondary to Arsenal and Spurs. 10 years ago, or more for that matter, Arsenal fans viewed Chelsea as just another London club. Like a West Ham, Palace, or QPR. But I think, on […]
So with last night begun a season (at least) of Thursday night football. With kick-off delayed an hour due to the issues with the Cologne supporters that descended on the capital, Arsenal laboured through a dreadful first half in which they played as if they were still waiting for the game to begin. A quick […]
Up until this season I wasn’t at all involved with Fantasy Premier League. However a lucky combination of a piece of advice from a friend and a certain boredom at the start of the season provided the perfect storm. And so here I am, 4 gameweeks into the season, feeling a need to vent my […]
So our new Europa League adventure begins tonight. Many fans will look upon Europe’s secondary competition as beneath Arsenal but in all honesty it is exactly where we deserve to be and the level we are at as a club. Over 38 games the Premier League, unlike perhaps Cup competitions, the table come May never […]
Whether we like it or not, the Europa League is upon us. As an Arsenal fan it feels odd being the current co-favorites in a European competition but here we are at 7/1, along with AC Milan*, to win and stamp a ticket back to the Champions League. Many Gooners seem to be analyzing our […]
Our aim should be to win the Europa League. End of it. I can’t understand why it is even a debate, we’re not in the position to snub a European competition to save energies for a bigger prize – i.e. the league – since the competition for the Premier League top spot is the fiercest […]
