We’re going all the way back to the swinging sixties for our next trip down memory lane, when The Arsenal bought one of the shrewdest full backs ever to have graced the game. It’s our 1971 Double winning left back Bob McNab. Bob was a superb left back for Arsenal. Maybe not lightning quick but […]
My 7-month stint writing for weekly for Football London is over and my house move is behind me so you will hearing more from me back here on GT. There are a few subjects on my mind, most of which have been discussed ad infinitum so the end of the summer transfer window closed to […]
Cruelty or mercy? During J.K. Rowling’s recent BBC TV adaptation of her book Strike: A Cuckoo’s Calling, there was a line that sums up many an Arsenal fan’s plight right now. As the one legged Private Detective Cormoran Strike drunkenly lamented a story to his secretary about how he lost his leg at war in […]
I will miss the Ox Ox’s introduction to the Liverpool faithful, in his new Liverpool kit, and made at the England camp hurt me. He wanted to leave, granted. Some of the ideas put forward include boycotting the game and walking out after 29 minutes […]
Europa League Teams Preview In the wrestling world – the WWF – there is a championship belt called the Intercontinental title, it’s been deemed the secondary title in the company. Throughout history although viewed as a secondary title, it was also known as “the workers title”, in other words for all the steroid infused more-style-than-substance […]
The transfer window has now shut, and this is a summation of how we did relative to our rivals. CHELSEA Positives – Shut out Costa, who clearly didn’t want to play for them again – Morata – Bakayoko Negatives – Confusion with the board and Conte on signings – Not enough possibly compared to other […]
