Finally a win and a convincing win with a lot of positives. No “ifs”, no “buts”, no dissecting another below-par performance and finding possible reasons behind it. A simple, emphatic win and it doesn’t really matter West Brom couldn’t give a rat’s ass about the game. All that matters is that we’ve secured the much-needed three […]
The Golden Age Of Arsenal PART TWO by Gary Lawrence In the 2nd part of this piece, (If you missed Part 1 and want to read that first click here) I’ve written about the players. Unfortunately there isn’t room to include them all, or to write in very much detail about the magnificent seven I’ve […]
The Golden Age Of Arsenal PART ONE by Gary Lawrence I remember once going to visit my cousin years ago in hospital and she introduced to me a women in the bed next to her saying “She’s related to somebody to do with Arsenal” I said “Who’s that then” to which she replied “Oh it was […]
As supporters we’ll never lose our addiction for discussing potential improvements the club can make throughout the year. I’ve seen plenty of Gooners enlisting Xhaka, Ibrahimovic, Mahrez, Kante as desired transfers in the summer but seriously is there any point to this? We’re simply wasting our time. In the past 3 season’s we have brought […]
For me these were wonderful memories generated by Graham Perry in this piece remembering Joe Mercer. However he was using Joe for an analogy to defend Arsene Wenger. But those were different times. Jump on the most attention grabbing headline without bothering to read the article to check whether there’s […]
We are at the crossroads. Either Wenger goes or Wenger stays. Get two Arsenal fans together and that is the sole topic of interest – To Go or To Stay. The case for him going is strong. This season was ours. We had the squad; Wenger had spent on Cech, the much acclaimed final […]
We welcome back of our founder writers at Gunners Town – Darren Wright with a sanitised version, that will make Newsnow (less sweary bits) of a piece that he posted on his own personal blog Let’s have it right, the terms AKB or WOB are a complete utter and total embarrassment. Whenever I stick my […]
I am pleased and honoured to add my contrary view to this article which originated from a well-respected writer for Gunners Town, my friend Andrea Rosetti. I agree that Zlatan Ibrahamovich has been and still is a very accomplished footballer and if the offer to sign him had come up 4 years ago, I would […]
What would you say if you were offered the chance to sign Zlatan Ibrahimović? I would say yes, loud and clear. He might be old, he might be expensive and he might be full of himself but what a striker the Swede is! After an enjoyable discussion with Victor (@GunnerVic1946,) another GT contributor on Twitter, […]
