This week’s column has been inspired by our latest signing, Victor Thompson. The frustration, disappointment and (perhaps) disillusionment that transpire from his words of yesterday are totally understandable and I am sure many fans are sharing his views. I don’t – at least not completely. I feel his frustration when I see some of our […]
Record Breaking Ozil assists Arsenal through the Injuries and the NLD
There are only so many games where you can spot the spectacular and Bayern was one of those games where the spectacular was coming from the opposition, which is why there was no post from me on that game. The Spurs game seemed to be going the same way and after the first half I […]
An Apology Letter to Aaron Ramsey – Dear Aaron………………..
Having watched Arsenal get overrun against the Bavarian machine Bayern Munich and those pesky spuds from N17 in the space of five days has left me with a feeling of anxiousness and confusion about our ability to perform when it matters. The feeling of anxiousness comes from seeing our central midfield axis of Santi and […]
Four Reasons why Arsenal’s Premiership Challenge may be doomed – Are the pundits right?
Dear…… What was obvious from yesterday’s game is that a lot of our players are running on empty. Two of our best players (Santi and Sanchez) were woeful and Santi was taken off. If we had had a replacement, so should Sanchez have been. This is a threadbare team. We cannot continue to compete with […]
Magnificent Magic Ozil rescues a point for exhausted Gunners – #NLDAFC1SPUDS1
Going into the game, the expectations were high. It’s understandable: we were on a streak of wins, City dropped points against Villa earlier and, finally, we played Spurs. However, one simple fact wasn’t quite taken into account, by yours truly too: we have a stretched squad which is also exhausted. For almost every player who […]
NLD Day for Debuchy and Campbell – Step up v Spurs and Wednesday & Wednesday forgotten
Sorry for the radio silence in midweek. I just couldn’t bring myself to write going over our loss in Munich, not the least because I haven’t watched the 2nd half (though I’ll likely rectify it by the time you read my preview). Despite the heavy loss we can still qualify by beating Dinamo Zagreb at […]
Shock exclusive report: “Wenger is right” rants Mourinho!!
Remember this moment: 8am Saturday, 7th November, 2015 (Australian Eastern Daylight Time) Why? You ask. Well this was the moment that the world found out that Maureen finally understood everything. It was announced to the world that Maureen was on record as saying; “Wenger is right” Unfortunately, Maureen was only talking about referee. Following his […]
Please don’t miss the brilliance of Mesut Ozil in the Bayern Debacle
The result against Bayern was bad but I think that if we had been able to field the same team as we did for the first match it would have been a much different result. Gabriel`s lack of match time showed and the gaps between him and Mertesacker were apparent throughout. I would say one […]
North London Derby Survival Guide, and Why you HATE Tottenham
As it’s been a few weeks since I last wrote, it’s not really worth going over it all here. It’s been a decent few weeks, with some cracking results and performances, topped off with The Special One gradually becoming The Batshit Mental One. Nice. This week I’ve decided to dedicate some time to help in […]
Plan B to become Plan A in Munich – Quick breaks and Set pieces please
The memorable win in the reverse fixture is still in our minds, isn’t it? A true masterpiece by the players and the manager allowed us to stop the unstoppable Bayern Munich and earned us a lifeline in this utterly complicated Champions League journey; the only problem is that we would need to produce another […]
