In the news today:
According to Sky Sports News, Arsenal are set to relieve some of the speculation surrounding outgoing players, by securing the signature of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The young Southampton star has had a terrific season for the Saints despite his tender age of just 17. The Daily Mail claimed last week that a £5m move was all but sealed, however it is thought that the figure may well be closer to the £10m mark.
Oxlade-Chamberlain is the son of former Portsmouth and England international, Mark Chamberlain and was named in the PFA Team of the Year for last season in League 1.
The England U21 international follows the path of fellow ex-Saint, Theo Walcott in joining the Gunners at an early age. Hopefully the youngster can have an immediate impact, potentially filling a void left by Samir Nasri’s exit.
how sealed is this deal?
how can a 17yr old from league 1 be a potential replacement for Nasri? This is just plain sensational journalism……..
According to Sky Sports News, very…
Terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE signing!
I just cannot wait for Wenger to disappear into the sunset with his young boy obsession. We need players who can make a difference now.
Honestly, £6m initially for a League 1 player? Is Wenger the coward mental? Is he mental?
WENGER OUT NOW!!!
