In the news today:
caughtoffside.com report that Arsenal’s interest in Gary Cahill has cooled and instead they have turned their attentions to Birmingham defender, Scott Dann.
The former Coventry defender missed a large chunk of last season through injury and many believe that was a large contribution to Birmingham’s demise, however, Cahill’s pricetag appears to be pursuading Wenger to look at the 24 year old.
Dann, who was born in Liverpool, was the subject of a bid from his hometown club earlier this summer, followed by strong interest from Stoke City, but with Arsenal’s need for a defender intensifying, Wenger might well act fast.
Samba and TV5 is the way forward if we dont get cahill.
What is wrong with aresnal board memebers, They should sign both SAMBA and CAHILL if they want the problem on the defence line to finish. They sell TRAORE and SQUALLICA< already GAEL CHLINCY has left.WENGER has not NOTICED last season mistakes. Finally, he forget to remember that injuries may occur before the season starts.
Get Dann and get Samba, both are massive and would be great in the middle for when we are playing any of the teams that like to playing long ball against us, on these occasions switch TV5 to left back. That way we have TV5, Samba, Dann, Kos and Djourou meaning we can rotate when needed and it's us so at some point one or more of them will be injured.
The one thing we can be sure of is that what ever happens Wenger will not act fast. He'll dither around offering peanuts for weeks before making a decent offer.
